Fall 2025 Op-Ed

A New Era Begins

Lawrenceville’s Alumni Council will be communicating more with each individual class in order to stir engagement and improve communications between alums and the School.

It is a great honor to step into the role of president of Alumni Council and to have the opportunity to serve our vibrant Lawrenceville community. I am grateful to Heather Elliott Hoover ’91 P’20 ’23 ’24 for her dedication and leadership as president, and I hope to build upon the legacy she and my other predecessors have established. Having served Lawrenceville for more than thirty years and the last decade on the Alumni Council, I have seen firsthand how our beloved School and our alumni body continue to evolve while remaining united by our common bond.

In the year ahead, my focus is on strengthening engagement by establishing improved communications with each class and finding ways to create excitement around our School. Whether at reunions, regional gatherings, on-campus programs, affinity groups, or virtual events, these touchpoints are vital to keeping the Lawrenceville spirit alive. I believe the Alumni Council is at its best when we focus our efforts, doing fewer things but doing them well.

The Alumni Council is the governing body of the Lawrenceville Alumni Association, supporting alumni engagement, selecting recipients of important awards and distinctions, and nominating alumni representatives to the Board of Trustees. As we carry forward this important mission, we welcome your thoughts, ideas, and feedback. All responses are reviewed by members of the Alumni Council.
